Coatings for graphite electrodes
We didn't invent the graphite electrode, but we know how to make it better.
We are the only producer of coating for graphite electrodes throughout the world. This high-tech product gives excellent antioxidation properties to graphite electrodes and reduces the specific consumption of graphite considerably.
Coated electrodes are used in metallurgy (electric steel production) as well as in the production of non-metal and mineral products (mineral wool, corund, silicium, etc.).
Our coating consists of several layers applied onto the electrode surface by electric arc treatment.
The classic coating conists of three layers applied on the electrode surface consecutively (“white coating”). The newly patented coating contains two further layers of metal and graphite (“black coating“). The total thickness of our coating is 0,5 to 0,8 mm.
